Minnesota Wilds Head Strength and Conditioning Coach Kirk Olson takes you behind the scenes to guide you through some of his favorite workouts to get his NHL Players ready to play at the highest level.
The Minnesota Wild Training App leverages PEAR Sports interactive audio training that calibrates to your personal fitness level and reacts in the moment to educate you, motivate you and keep you company on your journey.
This app features multiple workouts focused on strength, cardio, speed and agility, and is a great way to train - no matter your goal or fitness level.
TRIA Orthopedic doctors, the official doctors of the Minnesota Wild, will provide in-workout tips on hydration, recovery, and injury-prevention making sure you’re always ready to compete.

Connect with Health: the Minnesota Wild Training App will synchronize the results from your workouts (time, distance, calories, heart rate) with the Health app. It can also read your weight and birthdate from Health to calculate your heart rate zones. You can connect to Health in the Settings section of the app.
About the Coach
Kirk Olson is in his second stint as the Wild’s Strength and Conditioning Coach after rejoining the organization in 2011. He is responsible for developing, implementing and executing all aspects of strength and conditioning throughout the Wild organization.
Olson previously served in the position for six seasons (2003-09). He has been coaching and training athletes for the past 18 years and has served as the general manager of Total Hockey Minnesota in Lakeville, Minn. Olson trained athletes in a private capacity, focusing primarily on the development of hockey players, before being hired by the Wild in 2003.
Olson spent three seasons with the National Football League’s (NFL) Minnesota Vikings’ Strength and Conditioning Staff. During his time with the Vikings, Olson also served as Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Amsterdam Admirals of NFL Europe.
